Apartment Fit-Out Costs in Istanbul: What Determines the Quotation?
The condition of the apartment, scope, materials and fittings all affect the cost. These points help you read a quotation more clearly.

The apartment’s condition and size before work begins
A bare-shell apartment differs from one requiring removal of old finishes or preparation of existing surfaces. Photographs provide a starting point, but some items need a closer review of the condition and measurements. Floor area alone is not enough for an accurate price.
Scope and quantities
Specify whether the work covers the whole apartment or selected rooms and areas, including the required floors, walls, ceilings and fittings. Clarify whether doors and windows are included in the quotation, and which will be retained or replaced. A reviewable list of items and quantities makes quotations easier to compare and reduces differences in expectations.
Materials and execution details
Material type, sizes, installation methods, joints and edge details affect cost. When comparing quotations, compare quantities, units of measurement and material specifications, and check whether supply and installation are included for each item. Ask about alternatives and their implications before approving them. A more expensive material is not necessarily the most suitable choice for every use.
Furniture, cabinets and supply
Made-to-measure furniture and cabinets may be separate from the fit-out scope. Ask whether supply and installation are included and how dimensions and details are approved. Identify any materials you will provide yourself to avoid double counting or unclear responsibilities.
Requesting a clearer quotation
Share photographs, available measurements, the current condition and the finish you are seeking. Ask for itemised work, exclusions and a process for approving changes; discuss access conditions and work sequencing too. A quotation depends on the apartment’s scope and requirements.
